Product Update: Meet the Refreshed Discovery
Discovery is faster, sharper, and more analytical. Here's everything that changed — and why you'll find it in exactly the same place.

You already know where to find Discovery.
It's still at the top of the page inside Lucky Orange. Click it, and a chat opens — same as it always has.
What happens after that click and how good it is at analyzing your data is what changed.
The short version
A new thinking/progress indicator shows you what Discovery is doing while it works
Answers pull in more automatic context — comparisons across time periods, other data sources, and related metrics — without you having to ask for each one
It flags spikes and anomalies connected to your original question
Since Discovery can now crawl site code, insights are grounded in what's actually on your page — copy, button placement, button text — not just behavioral data
The tone is more analytical and direct, built for answers you can act on or paste straight into Slack
Every Quick Action is now visible and searchable, instead of a rotating handful
The window resizes and stays open while you work in the background in Lucky Orange
Here's the detail behind each one.
You'll see it before you read about it
Ask a question, and you'll notice the first difference immediately: a thinking/progress indicator that shows what Discovery is doing while it pulls your data together. No more wondering whether anything is happening behind a blank chat.

More context, without you asking for it
Discovery now does more of the thinking before it answers. It slices your data more ways by default, and reads the intent behind your question to pull in relevant comparisons automatically — across time periods, other sources, and related metrics you didn't explicitly ask about but probably wanted.
It also zooms out to benchmark what it finds, so you're not just getting a number — you're getting a sense of whether that number is normal, good, or worth a second look. And it surfaces spikes or anomalies tied to your original question, so the things you didn't think to ask about don't get missed. Each answer is built to guide your exploration forward, not just close out the one question you asked.

A lot of work happens behind the scenes to make all of this fast — that part isn't something you'll interact with directly.
What you'll notice is just that Discovery feels noticeably sharper.
Grounded in your actual page
This builds on Crawl Site Code, which reads everything on your page — messaging, button placement, button copy, and more.
That means insights aren't only grounded in behavioral data. They're grounded in the reality of the page your visitors actually saw. If Discovery flags a CTA, it knows what that CTA says and where it sits.
A more analytical voice
The tone changed along with everything else. Answers are more analytical and more direct — built to hand you something you can act on immediately, sharp and accurate enough to paste straight into Slack. No more half-baked, no-data guesses and poorly-formed opinions.
Every Quick Action, visible and searchable
Quick Actions used to rotate — a handful shown at a time, with the rest hidden until they happened to surface. Now every Quick Action is visible and searchable in the console, so you go straight to the one you need instead of waiting for it to show up.

A window that keeps up with you
The Discovery window can now be resized larger or smaller, and it stays open even when you click into the page behind it. Keep a conversation going while you dig through Analytics, review a Recording, or pull up a Heatmap — Discovery stays with you instead of getting in the way.
The workflow
Click Discovery at the top of the page, same as always
Ask your question
Watch the progress indicator while Discovery pulls and slices your data
Get back an analytical answer — grounded in your page, layered with automatic comparisons and benchmarks, and flagged with any relevant spikes or anomalies
Resize or keep the window open and keep working in Lucky Orange at the same time
Ask a follow-up question to go deeper, right where you left off
Why it matters
A faster Discovery is nice. A Discovery that understands what you actually meant — and tells you whether what you're seeing is normal, good, or worth digging into — is the difference between an answer and an analyst.
That's what this update is built to do: give you more of the thinking up front, so you spend less time double-checking and more time acting on what you find.
